How PB CareerDNA builds your Career Shadow.
A transparent explanation of the fixed question set, deterministic scoring and exploration-fit logic behind the two-minute Career Shadow.
1. What CareerDNA is
PB CareerDNA is a brief career-discovery screen designed to produce a useful Career Shadow in about two minutes. It is intentionally not positioned as a full or independently validated psychometric inventory.
2. Fixed question architecture
Each path contains a maximum of 15 applicable questions: four base context questions, one stage-specific context question, seven fixed career-signal scenarios, one work-pattern question, one forced-choice work-values question and one clarity question. Branching removes irrelevant stage questions; it does not change the scoring rules.
3. Career-signal calculation
Each of the seven scenarios has a locked RIASEC-informed vector. Raw points are added by dimension, then divided by that dimension’s fixed possible points and converted to a 0–100 screening indicator. Age, education stage and geography do not change these core career-signal calculations.
4. Exploration Fit
Career clusters are compared using one fixed formula: 78% career-signal similarity + 12% work-style compatibility + 10% stated work-value compatibility. Fit indicators are exploration aids, not probabilities of success.
5. Personalisation without moving the goalposts
Two people can have similar core signals but receive different next-step guidance because their stage, prior experience and geography differ. Context can shape the pathway narrative; it cannot silently rewrite the frozen signal scores.
6. AI boundary
CareerDNA assessment, scoring and cluster ranking run deterministically without an AI API call. Myaibaba may later explain the saved result conversationally, but AI is not allowed to change the stored scores or matching order.
